Fall On The Farm: Varner Farms

This past weekend we went to Varner Farms to pick pumpkins. This is the first year that Brayden can really interact and participate in activities so I wanted to go to a farm where he could really get the full fall experience and pick his own pumpkin right off the vine.

I was totally surprised and delighted to see everything that Varner’s Farm has to offer. We spent over 3 hours there and could have very easily spent a couple more. It was fantastic!

During the month of September and October Varner’s Farm decorates the farm for Fall and offers one of their favorite traditions, Harvest Land.

Here is what Varner Farms has to offer during its annual Harvest Land:

Horse Drawn or Tractor Drawn Wagon Rides: Free ride to and from the pumpkin patch.

Pick Your Own Pumpkins: Varner Farms offers several acres of ripe pumpkins ready to pick off of the vine. This is a great place to take photos and find your perfect little pumpkin. You pay per the pound.

Harvest Time Playland: A huge play area with fun activities for littles including two big slides, a corn launcher, tic-tac-toe, hay tunnel, seesaws, wagon train, cattle roping challenge, bouncy animals, pedal tractors and hay maze.

Barnyard Animals: They have an array of barnyard animals. Some of our favorites included the donkey’s, turkey and pig.

Please note: Due to Covid-19 you are unable to feed the animals but all of the animals were very friendly and came right up to the gates.

Pick Your Own Flowers: They have an array of beautiful wild flowers you can pick yourself and pay by the stem.

Five Acre Corn Maze: A huge fun maze that all of your family will enjoy exploring together

Make your own Scarecrow: They provide you with all of the supplies and leave the creativity up to you.

Paint Your Own Pumpkins: offers a social distanced painting stations to decorate your pumpkin right on the far.

Endless Photo Opportunities: throughout the whole farm there is several super cute Fall themed scenes perfect for that cute family photo for social media enthusiasts.

To end the Harvest Land season, Varner Farms will host a candy carnival for kiddos on October 31st from 5-7PM. There will be 20 different fun activities they will offer for the littles to enjoy. Each activity will offer candy. Pre Registration is required for this event.
